Payment
My aim is to cover costs and return any extra money back into improving the service. I am not a registered charity nor am I trying to retire on the income from Gasnet. It costs me about $1000 / year to run the service. Your support is appreciated.
I use PayPal exclusively for invoicing (http://www.paypal.com.au/au). Their system is secure, insured and I don’t need your bank or credit card details and you do not need mine. You also receive a tax invoice for claiming a tax deduction. You don’t have to have a PayPal account but it is worth thinking about for online purchases in general. www.paypal.com.au .
Some people have found it a pain to go through the motion of using PayPal and just want to sling me the cash. I try to avoid this for many reasons. By using PayPal, all my invoices, payments and receipts are in the one place. I appreciate you making the effort to help by using PayPal.
Billing is six monthly in January and July. This helps with the cash flow and allows me to cater to the registrars on six month rotations.
The fee for 6 months, July to Dec 2011, is $40.
