Finding Your MAC Address

Below you will find the instructions on how to find your wireless MAC Address. There are instructions for MAC OS, iPhone and Windows. Once you identify the address I recommend you copy and paste to avoid a mistake. E-mail me at escarpment.internet@me.com your MAC Address, e-mail address and mobile phone number. Before checking below, remember the MAC address may be in fine print underneath your device. A MAC address is always in the format: 00:26:08:dd:db:d4 where capitalisation does not matter.

Apple Mac OS

On the menu bar at the top of the screen click on the wireless symbol. Select ‘Open Network Preferences’. You can get to the same place by selecting ‘System Preferences’ under the ‘Apple’ menu far top left and then selecting ‘Network’. See below.

Click on ‘Advanced’ and you will see the Apple ID in the form 00:26:08:dd:db:d4 at the bottom of the page. Copy and paste this into an e-mail.

iPhone & iPad MAC Address

Select ‘Settings’, then ‘General’ then ‘About’. Scroll down to Wi-Fi Address and copy down the address.

Windows OS
